The i-HOT is our brand new air source water heater, designed to provide hot water to your home or offices quickly, sustainable and efficiently. Our Thermodynamic Solar Heat Pump is a cutting-edge solution for Domestic and commercial Hot Water production, perfectly suited to residential properties. Available in capacities from 120 to 5000 litres, it offers flexible configurations with 1 or 2 thermodynamic solar panels and storage tanks in Stainless Steel 444 or Duplex 2205, with or without an additional coil.

Solar Assisted Heat Pump Water Heaters How it Works

i-HOT Thermodynamic Solar Assisted Hot Water Heat Pumps are very effective because they combine the principles of heat pumps with solar thermal collection, allowing them to extract heat from the ambient air and the sun, even at night or in cold, cloudy weather.
A solar assisted heat pump heats water by absorbing heat from direct sunlight and from the air, the hot water is then stored in a hot water cylinder, ready for when you need it. i-Hot Solar assisted heat pumps can also work without direct sunlight, this is because heat pump technology transfers energy from outside to heat your water. A solar assisted heat pump (SAHP) works by drawing in heat from direct sunlight and the surrounding air via a large, flat panel known as an evaporator. This panel contains a special fluid that absorbs the captured heat and transfers it to the heat pump through heat exchange. The heat pump then raises the temperature further and stores the hot water in a Stainless steel cylinder, ready for you to use whenever you need it.
